Job Description

As a Junior Software Developer at S&P Global Market Intelligence, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a team of skilled search engineers, Data Scientists, and Machine Learning Engineers, working with cutting-edge search technologies to support key business needs for the platform search application. Your role will involve analyzing, designing, and developing solutions within a multi-functional Agile team, ensuring high-performing web application software, and testing front-end and middleware applications. You will be expected to adhere to software engineering best practices, collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and document technical solutions through various means.**Key Responsibilities:**- Analyze, design, and develop solutions within a multi-functional Agile team for the platform search application- Design, implement, and test front-end solutions for the web platform application- Develop web service/middleware applications leveraging backend systems within the search application architecture- Engineer components and common services based on standard corporate development models, languages, and tools- Apply software engineering best practices and automation across all elements of solution delivery- Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, documenting and demonstrating technical solutions through documentation, diagrams, and code comments**Qualifications Required:**- 1-2 years of significant experience in developing web services and/or web software- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering- Experience in object-oriented design and design patterns- Proficiency in application development using languages such as Python, Java, C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, or .NET Windows Services- Experience in UI software development, including HTML5, JavaScript, Node.js, and React.js- Familiarity with Agile software development lifecycle methodologies, Test Driven Development (TDD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD), and testing frameworks (JUnit, Cucumber, etc.)**About S&P Global Market Intelligence:**S&P Global Market Intelligence, a division of S&P Global, provides accurate, deep, and insightful information to customers worldwide.
