Data Scientist - Risk Data Analytics

Job Description

As a Data Scientist in the Risk Data Analytics team at Fidelity International, your role is crucial in developing Data Science and Advanced Analytics solutions for the business. By engaging with key stakeholders and collaborating with internal teams, you will contribute to enhancing risk management processes and uncovering innovative opportunities in the risk and business landscape. Your responsibilities will include:- Developing and delivering Data Science solutions for the business, partnering with internal and external ecosystem to design and deliver advanced analytics enabled solutions, creating visualizations for smooth consumption of predictions and insights. (40%)- Stakeholder Management by working with Risk SMEs/Managers, stakeholders, and sponsors to understand business problems and translate them into appropriate analytics solutions, engaging with key stakeholders for smooth execution, delivery, and implementation of solutions. (30%)- Maximizing adoption of Cloud-based advanced analytics solutions by building out sandbox analytics environments and deploying solutions in production while adhering to best practices. (20%)- Collaboration and Ownership through sharing knowledge, best practices with the team, providing mentoring, coaching, and consulting advice, and taking complete independent ownership of projects and initiatives in the team. (10%)Qualifications required for this role include:- An engineering degree from IIT/Masters in a field related to Data Science/Economics/Mathematics (Tier 1 Institutions like ISI, Delhi School of Economics)/M.A from tier 1 institutions.- Overall, 9 years of experience in Data Science and Analytics, with 5 years of hands-on experience in Statistical Modeling/Machine Learning Techniques/Natural Language Processing/Deep Learning and experience in Python/Machine Learning/Deep Learning.- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to run analytics applications such as Python, SAS, and interpret statistical results.- Implementation of models with clear measurable outcomes.Desirable Skills & Experience:- Ability to engage in discussions with senior stakeholders, experience on SPARK/Hadoop/Big Data Platforms, experience with unstructured data and big data, secondary data, and knowledge of primary market research. Ability to independently own and manage projects with minimal support, strong analytical skills, and the ability to develop, test, and validate hypotheses.
