Job Description

As a Full Stack Developer, you will join the team to deliver high-quality code for new and existing projects, focusing on building and supporting software and applications using Microservices and Service Bus architecture in an Azure Cloud environment. Your responsibilities will include:- Developing C# .NET Core, Web API, Angular 9, HTML, Responsive CSS, web applications, Microservices, web portals, and service APIs, windows, and web services.- Building and supporting software and applications using Microservices and Service Bus architecture in an Azure Cloud environment.- Utilizing SQL Server querying, Entity Framework, Graph-QL, and understanding ETL processes.- Maintaining existing sites and applications by implementing incremental changes as required, providing technical advice and support to business analysts.- Participating in peer code reviews with other developers.- Collaborating with the development and QA team to evolve the technical strategy to stay relevant with new tools, technology, and approaches.Qualifications required for this role include:- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.- Strong expertise in C# development using .NET Core.- Solid front-end development skills with Angular 9 or higher, including creating responsive UIs using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.- Hands-on experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs, working with Web API technologies, and integrating with legacy SOAP-based services.- Familiarity with software testing methodologies, particularly Unit Testing and Mocking frameworks (e.g., Moq, NUnit, xUnit), to ensure high code quality and maintainability.- Thorough understanding of clean coding principles, secure coding practices, code refactoring techniques, and general programming best practices.- Awareness of web and application security fundamentals such as OWASP guidelines.- Experience working on Insurance applications or understanding insurance, London Market, and Delegated Authority (BDX processing systems).Desirable experience includes:- Building and deploying cloud-based microservices on Microsoft Azure, including familiarity with Azure Service Bus, Docker containerization, and relational data storage using Azure SQL Database.- Proficiency in using source control systems such as Git or Team Foundation Server (TFS) for code collaboration and version control.- Working knowledge of Entity Framework for ORM-based database access and GraphQL for flexible data querying in APIs.- Exposure to Azure DevOps pipelines and tools for continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD).- Experience with Craft CMS or similar modern content management systems.- Familiarity with SonarQube or equivalent tools for static code analysis and maintaining code quality metrics.- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience participating in cross-functional teams using iterative development practices.
