Role Overview:As a Lead Software Developer at S&P Global Market Intelligence, you will be a part of the Technology team, collaborating with a group of talented engineers. Your role will involve participating in the entire product life cycle, from design to release. You will play a crucial part in creating technical designs, developing high-performing web application software, and ensuring quality through rigorous testing processes. This position is key in supporting the search application for the company-wide product platform, delivering essential information to the global finance industry and beyond.Key Responsibilities:- Architect, design, and develop solutions within a multi-functional Agile team to support key business needs for the platform search application.- Design, implement, and test front-end solutions for the web platform application.- Develop web service middleware applications leveraging the backend Solr clusters within the search application architecture.- Engineer components and common services based on standard corporate development models, languages, and tools with a focus on integration with Agentic AI Systems.- Collaborate with AI and ML teams to integrate LLM-Based reasoning agent orchestration.- Apply software engineering best practices while leveraging automation across all elements of solution delivery.- Document and demonstrate technical solutions by developing documentation, diagrams, code comments, etc.Qualifications Required:- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or Engineering.- 9-12 years of significant experience in developing web services and/or web software development.- Proficiency in object-oriented design, design patterns, Java, Python, Spring Framework, and SQL Server.- Experience with Agentic AI frameworks or a strong interest in working with autonomous AI agents and AI Planning systems.- Familiarity with integrating AI APIs into backend systems.- Experience in web software development including HTML5, JavaScript, Node.js, and jQuery.- Minimum of 3 years of experience in working with Search technologies like Solr, Elastic Search, and Lucene.- Experience with AWS auto-scaling, Docker EE, gRPC, and Machine Learning Models is a plus.- Proficient in Agile software development lifecycle methodologies, including Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD).Additional Company Details (if present):S&P Global Market Intelligence is dedicated to providing accurate, deep, and insightful information to empower customers to make confident decisions.
