As the Technical Lead of Software Development at this company, you will be responsible for directing and overseeing the software function to meet business needs. You will manage a small team, create technical strategies, and align the team with department goals. Your role will involve driving AI adoption, ensuring AI-enabled capabilities, and integrating approved LLM services into products with quality controls.**Key Responsibilities:**- Conduct 60-70% technical, in-code, hands-on development work- Manage 30-40% functional, people, and project management tasks- Analyze complex business needs and recommend technical solutions- Ensure consistency and stability of existing applications- Direct production tasks to meet customer expectations- Prioritize workload for the software development team- Enforce software development standards and best practices- Collaborate with other developers to design and maintain applications- Write clean, testable code and develop technical specifications- Estimate development tasks and review code- Document development and operational procedures- Conduct interviews and make recommendations for new hires- Coach, mentor, and manage junior staff- Drive AI adoption within the team and ensure quality, security, and reliability of AI solutions**Qualifications Required:**- Bachelors degree or equivalent education and experience- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in web-based software development- At least 1 year of team/technical leadership experience- Hands-on experience with NodeJS, ExpressJS, Angular, SQL Server, JavaScript, TypeScript- Proficiency in writing SQL, stored procedures, and database schema- Experience with Agile (Scrum) Software Development Process- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and LLM capabilities- Leadership skills, analytical thinking, and effective communication- Ability to train and mentor junior colleagues- Strong organizational skills and attention to detailThis company values equal employment opportunities and prohibits workplace harassment.
