Manager - Equipment

Job Description

As a Manager - Equipment in the Press Engineering department of the Body Engineering division, your role will involve equipment & facility planning, greenfield plant setup, new equipment/facility planning, and installation. You will provide technical support to production/maintenance for production ramp-up, productivity improvement, and troubleshooting.**Key Responsibilities:**- Understand project timelines & analyze critical path to achieve targets- Finalize specifications for equipment based on project scope and feedback from internal customers- Procure equipment with the latest technologies and select procurement partners- Approve designs and buy-off considering SQPC requirements- Commission all facilities and equipment in the Press Shop- Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles in work areas- Ensure a safe environment and quality assurance during equipment installation and commissioning- Analyze production requirements, propose, and implement countermeasures for space & capacity planning to meet production targets**Qualifications Required:**- BTech/B.E. in Mechanical/Production/Electrical Engineering- 8 to 10 years of experience in press shop equipment, greenfield projects, erection & commissioning- Sound knowledge of Press Shop Equipments (Press, EOT Crane, Conveyor) & Press shop operation mandatory- Hands-on Experience in the Erection & Commissioning of equipments- Work experience in Greenfield projects will be preferred- Expertise in press machine accuracy check and Robot teaching/simulation/troubleshooting- AutoCAD, Knowledge of PLC/Drives mandatory- Proficiency in MS Excel Advanced & MS PowerPointIn this role, your competencies should include target orientation, good analytical skills, excellent communication & presentation skills, flexibility, being a team player, and possessing networking skills.
