Job Description

You will be joining the newly formed Core Investment Risk Engineering team within the Core Risk Management (Core RM) group at BlackRock. Your primary responsibility will be to work with BlackRocks centralized technology teams globally to ensure the resilience and advancement of the technology architecture supporting risk management processes. As a technologist at BlackRock, you will have the opportunity to work on next-generation technology and solutions, contributing to the development of world-class investment risk technology and tools.**Key Responsibilities:**- Stabilizing, re-engineering, and maintaining the technology platform for Core RM to ensure scalability and delivery of projects.- Understanding risk management processes, data usage, and architecture.- Enhancing risk technology platform and tools to reduce production issues and streamline processes.- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to develop innovative investment risk technology.- Partnering with Aladdin developers, users, and RQA leads to contribute to technology development.- Applying quality software engineering practices throughout the development process.- Implementing automation processes to streamline development, support, and technical management.**Qualifications Required:**- High emotional ownership, self-starter with a positive approach to challenges.- Ability to understand and deliver on diverse stakeholder requirements.- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.- 3-6 years of experience as a Python Developer.- Proficiency in software engineering using Python programming language.- Experience in creating Python-based applications, Micro Services, and APIs.- Skilled in creating high-performance complex SQL queries.- Understanding of NO-SQL Databases is a plus.- B.E. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.- Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.- Experience with Cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure is a plus.You will have the opportunity to shape a new operating model, drive technology adoption, and work in a highly respected risk management group with global reach.
