Job Description

As a Senior Android Developer at HME Solutions, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining advanced Android applications for phones and tablets. Your role will involve developing high-quality, reusable, and maintainable code using Kotlin and modern Android practices. You will create dynamic and responsive UIs with Jetpack Compose following Material Design and UX principles. Additionally, you will integrate Couchbase for real-time data synchronization and offline-first solutions, implement real-time communication using WebSocket, Socket.IO, and TCP socket connections, work on interactive maps and location-based services, and build immersive 3D experiences and custom animations using Scene View, Compose Canvas, and OpenGL ES. You will utilize modern Android libraries and frameworks such as Hilt (DI), Ktor, CameraX, Coil, and Zxing, and write comprehensive unit, instrumentation, and integration tests to ensure app stability. Furthermore, you will lead development efforts, guide architectural decisions, mentor junior developers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage code versions using Git, and stay updated with the latest Android trends and best practices to ensure performance optimization, security, and scalability of mobile applications.Qualifications Required:- 5 years of professional Android development experience.- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android frameworks.- Expertise in Jetpack Compose and declarative UI development.- Hands-on experience with Coroutines and Flow for asynchronous programming.- Hands-on experience with real-time databases, preferably Couchbase.- Strong knowledge of socket programming, including WebSocket, Socket.IO, and TCP.- Exposure to 3D graphics and animations using Scene View, OpenGL ES, or Compose Canvas is a strong plus.- Solid understanding of Android architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVP, MVC, and Clean Architecture.- Experience with dependency injection frameworks like Dagger Hilt.- Skilled in writing automated tests including unit, integration, and UI tests.- Familiarity with version control using Git and collaborative workflows.- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and optimization skills.- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a distributed team.
