Job Description

As a seasoned software engineer at PwC, you will be entrusted with the exciting opportunity to lead the design and implementation of the platform migration from a monolithic to a microservice-based architecture. In this role, your main responsibilities will include:- Redesigning the application from the current monolithic architecture to a more efficient and scalable microservices-based architecture.- Owning the application migration process from the existing platform to a data-driven streaming platform.Your role requires you to possess the following qualities:- Autonomy, motivation, and self-drive.- Strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders in the division.- Passion for enhancing customer experience and ensuring timely delivery.- Excellent communication skills to engage in critical conversations and effectively impart knowledge to stakeholders.- Accountability and commitment to delivering high-quality work while embracing challenges.- Effective planning, prioritization, and ownership of individual and group activities.**Mandatory skill sets**- Hands-on experience in Java 8/Python.- Proficiency in designing and developing applications using Spring/Guice.- Familiarity with Spring Boot Web service (Rest Service) and Microservice-based Architecture.- Good understanding of design patterns to design solutions and algorithms.- Experience in migrating monolithic applications to microservices is a plus.- Familiarity with NoSQL DBs such as Couchbase and MongoDB.- Knowledge of Message Queue Kafka is beneficial.- Exposure to OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes is advantageous.- Understanding of Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CICD).**Preferred skill sets**- Experience in the Airline domain is a plus.**Years of experience required**4 to 9 years of experience in the analysis, design, and development of software systems in Java.**Education Qualification**- Bachelors Degree (Field of Study not specified).At PwC, we believe in providing equal employment opportunities without discrimination based on various factors.
