Role Overview:As a Senior Director of Software Engineering at JPMorganChase within the Chief Data and Analytics Organization, you will lead multiple technical areas, manage the activities of multiple teams, and collaborate across technical domains. Your expertise will be applied cross-functionally to evolve firm-wide Data Mesh, AI/ML and GenAI, and Data Governance platform. You will play a pivotal role in driving and delivering the strategic objectives, collaborating with many cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance, and user-centric platforms. Your expertise will guide the development of key platform components and frameworks aligning with the strategic goals of the organization.Key Responsibilities:- Define and own the delivery strategy and roadmap for large-scale, cross-team engineering programs- Drive end-to-end program execution from planning and resourcing through risk management, dependency tracking, and stakeholder communication- Lead delivery through periods of organizational or technical change, maintaining momentum and morale- Accountable for quality and production stability, including test automation strategy, performance benchmarking, and incident management- Establish and refine delivery frameworks, governance models, and reporting cadences appropriate for each programs scale and complexity- Identify systemic delivery risks early and drive resolution before they escalate- Serve as the primary interface between Engineering, Product, and Executive leadership on program status and escalations- Drive continuous improvement in engineering delivery practicesQualification Required:- 15 years of experience in end-to-end technical project/program delivery, with 5 years at the Director level- Proven track record delivering complex, multi-team programs on time and at scale- Technical fluency across various technical stacks including API design, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, event streaming, front-end ecosystem, observability tooling, databases at scale, security, and compliance- Fluent in modern delivery methodologies with the ability to adapt frameworks to context- Exceptional communication skills to distil engineering complexity for non-technical stakeholders- Track record of building and developing high-performing delivery teams- Skilled at influencing without authority and earning trust from stakeholders- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field Role Overview:As a Senior Director of Software Engineering at JPMorganChase within the Chief Data and Analytics Organization, you will lead multiple technical areas, manage the activities of multiple teams, and collaborate across technical domains.
