Senior Expert Data Science, Modeling & Simulation

Job Description

As the M&S Data Science representative on drug discovery and lead optimization programs, you will collaborate with project teams to provide scientific and strategic input using dry- and wet-lab data. Your key responsibilities will include:- Acting as a key contributor in project team discussions to guide decisions on compound progression and in vivo study prioritization- Mastering and promoting the use of in silico models and in-house tools to streamline decision-making processes- Applying data mining techniques to analyze relationships between molecular structure and properties for various programs- Identifying opportunities to develop custom in silico models and data strategies tailored to specific projects or modalities- Enhancing the impact and awareness of M&S Data Science through clear and transparent communications with internal and external stakeholders- Staying updated on advancements in AI/ML applied to ADME and PK/PD, as well as data science methods in drug discoveryYour role requirements include the following essential qualifications:- Advanced degree in life sciences with a multidisciplinary background in relevant fields- 2 years of experience with a PhD or 6 years of experience with an MSc in drug discovery and development processes- Proficiency in applying data science methods to drug discovery- Strong understanding of statistics, machine learning, and deep learning- Demonstrated knowledge of data visualization and exploratory analysis- Solid programming skills in Python and R, with familiarity in machine learning libraries like scikit-learn, keras, or pytorch- Excellent communication skills to convey analytical concepts to diverse audiencesDesirable qualifications for this role may include:- Expertise in discovery-stage PK modeling for small molecule compounds- Experience with generative algorithms and explainable AIAdditionally, the company values candidates with proficiency in English and skills in Chemistry, Clinical Pharmacology, Clinical Research, Drug Discovery, Initiative, Medical Research, Patient Care, Physiology, Quality Control, R&D (Research And Development), Simulation Software, and Translational Medicine.
