Site Reliability Operations Manager

Job Description

As an Operations Manager at Warner Bros. Discovery, you will play a crucial role in supporting the streaming platforms to ensure seamless operations and exceptional user experiences. You will report to the Director of Digital for Site Reliability Operations (UK) and work towards implementing the vision for the 24/7 Site Reliability Engineering and Operational Engineering units. Your responsibilities will include leading incident management, infrastructure health monitoring, and ensuring operational excellence.**Key Responsibilities:**- **Leadership:** Take ownership of shift coverage, rostering, recruitment, training, and appraisal reviews.- **Incident Management:** Lead and coordinate response to operational incidents, contribute to post-incident reporting, and root cause analysis.- **Operational Excellence:** Drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhance operational processes, and efficiency.- **Team Development:** Mentor team members, provide training, and share best practices.- **Health Status Monitoring:** Oversee system health monitoring, particularly during major events.- **Collaboration:** Work closely with cross-functional teams to address operational challenges.- **Strategic Influence:** Provide feedback on strategic planning and make tradeoffs when necessary.- **Reporting:** Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance to senior management.- **Digital OTT Support & Operations:** Provide technical assistance, troubleshoot incidents, and support cross-functional teams.- **Onboardings / Projects:** Define requirements for new service offerings, develop documentation, and deliver training.- **Deputise for the Director / Senior Manager when required.- **Contribute to organization-wide Operational Excellence initiatives.**Qualifications:**- Proven experience in operations management, preferably within the streaming or digital media industry.- Clear understanding of Digital OTT workflow end-to-end and AWS infra or equivalent cloud solutions.- Working knowledge of infrastructure and application monitoring/alerting applications.- Proficient with incident management applications and strong written and verbal communication skills.- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or Systems Engineering preferred.- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and ability to drive operational excellence.- Knowledge of incident management processes and ITIL or agile practices.- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and knowledge of local employment laws.- Must have the legal right to work in UK, India, or Mexico.This is a brief overview of the role of an Operations Manager at Warner Bros.
