Software Development Engineer

Job Description

You will be responsible for configuring, supporting, and optimizing the Enterprise Asset Management system. Here are the key responsibilities for this role:- Ensure compliance with Corporate Software Development Methodology Framework, policy, procedure, and application security.- Communicate and present software engineering processes and efforts to stakeholders.- Work with lead engineering, technical, and managerial direction for the implementation of minimally complex systems, databases, and interfaces.- Collect and analyze metrics, apply lessons learned to continuously improve the development/support process.- Prepare and manage time cost estimates and schedules for software development and maintenance projects.- Act as an individual contributor to one or more software development projects.Qualifications required for this role include:- Bachelors degree and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.- 3 years of experience working with HxGN EAM or similar Enterprise Asset Management systems.- HxGN EAM certification or relevant asset management certifications.- Experience with HxGN EAM Alert Management, DataBridge, or ION.- Strong understanding of asset management principles and best practices.- Proficiency in SQL and database management, preferably with Oracle.- Experience with HxGN EAM configuration, including creating and modifying screens, forms, and workflows.- Familiarity with web services, REST APIs, and integration technologies.- Basic understanding of programming concepts and scripting languages.- Hands-on experience with HxGN EAM modules such as Equipment, Work Orders, Preventive Maintenance, and Inventory.- Experience with HxGN EAM modules such as Purchasing, Budget, and Projects.- Familiarity with reporting tools such Cognos, or Power BI.- Understanding of data modeling and database design principles.- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, TFS, Azure DevOps).- Experience in configuring and using HxGN EAMs Checklist functionality.Bechtel, as a global company, values diversity and inclusivity, fostering a vibrant environment of various nationalities, cultures, and life experiences.
