Job Description

As an applicant for the position at Alight, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust and scalable web applications using Java and the front-end framework Angular. Your key responsibilities will include:- Participating in the design and development of web applications using Angular and Java Spring Boot technologies.- Demonstrating very strong knowledge of Angular versions 8/13/15/17, including core framework, internal processing, and lifecycle usage.- Debugging front-end and Angular issues, as well as implementing performance improvements.- Ensuring application performance, scalability, and security.- Participating in Sprint/PI planning and providing estimates for the scope of work.- Creating technical documentation in the code per coding standards and assisting in the documentation creation for the products customers.Qualifications required for this role include:- A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.- Minimum 8 years of application development experience.- Experience developing applications that interact with RESTful APIs.- Experience with front-end development, particularly in Angular.- Experience with other AWS services such as S3, CloudWatch, and IAM.Additionally, you should have skills in the following areas:Front End Skills:- Micro frontend Architecture- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript- Responsive Web Design- AngularDatabase:- Relational database Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, DB2- NoSQL database MongoDB, RedisCloud Platform, Deployment, and DevOps:- Cloud Platforms AWS (ECS, EC2, CloudFront, CloudWatch, S3, IAM, Route 53, ALB)- DevOps Docker containers, SonarQube, Jenkins, Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, TerraformAlight offers a comprehensive total rewards package, continuing education and training opportunities, and tremendous potential with a growing global organization.
