Software Engineering Specialist (Python Developer)

Job Description

Role Overview:You will be responsible for the design, development, modification, debugging, and maintenance of software systems. Your role will involve working on specific modules, applications, or technologies, and handling sophisticated assignments during the software development process.Key Responsibilities:- Be accountable for and own specific modules within an application, providing technical support and guidance during solution design for new requirements, and resolving critical or complex issues while ensuring code is maintainable, scalable, and supportable.- Present demos of the software products to partners and internal/external customers, using your technical knowledge to influence the direction and evolution of the product/solution.- Investigate issues by reviewing/debugging code, providing fixes, analyzing and fixing bugs, reviewing changes for operability, maintaining existing software solutions, highlighting risks, and helping mitigate risks from technical aspects.- Bring continuous improvements/efficiencies to the software or business processes by utilizing software engineering tools and innovative techniques, and reusing existing solutions. Use automation to reduce design complexity, time to response, and simplify the client/end-user experience.- Represent/lead discussions related to product/application/modules/team, such as leading technical design reviews. Establish relationships with internal customers/partners.Qualifications Required:- Bachelors degree in Science/IT/Computing or equivalent.- 7-8 years of experience as a software engineer or a software support engineer.- Awareness of programming concepts and the ability to write software code in at least one programming language.Additional Details:Amdocs helps build the future by unlocking customers innovative potential in providing next-generation communication and media experiences.
