Job Description

As a Senior Manager Data Sciences at DDS, your role will involve leading and collaborating with business leaders to design, implement, and scale sophisticated analytical models and digital solutions that drive measurable RD impact. You will also serve as a people and delivery leader for an India-based data science team, responsible for building, developing, and scaling advanced data science capabilities within Amgen India. Your reporting line will be to the US Director Data Sciences.**Primary Responsibilities**- Design and develop various analyses to enable concrete insights for timely decision-making- Strategize with partners to build scalable AI/ML products and apply consistent approaches to solve complex business problems- Identify key business questions, prioritize resources, and design analytical frameworks- Lead end-to-end development, deployment, and sustainment of digital and analytics solutions- Partner with IS and data engineering teams to define data requirements and ensure robust deployment pipelines- Apply agile delivery methods to ensure efficient and scalable business processes**Global Delivery India Team Leadership**- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing India-based Data Sciences team- Establish a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement- Own end-to-end delivery of analytics and data science projects in India- Translate onshore business priorities for offshore teams- Implement scalable operating models and governance to support offshore analytics at scale**Stakeholder Matrix Leadership**- Act as a primary liaison between India-based teams and onshore partners- Manage stakeholders, risks, dependencies, and resourcing needs- Develop relationships with functional leaders to present digital solutions- Maintain alignment and collaboration across global stakeholders**People, Culture Professional Development**- Motivate and coach globally distributed teams to advance business priorities- Cultivate a collaborative environment for strong team engagement- Mentor data scientists and decision scientists within the organization- Ensure projects meet quality, timeliness, and budget expectationsAs a dynamic professional, we expect you to have:**Basic Qualifications**- Doctorate degree with 10 years of experience in statistics, data science, operations research, mathematics, or related fields- OR- Masters degree with 10 years of experience- OR- Bachelors degree with 15 years of experience**Preferred Qualifications**- 8 years of experience delivering complex analytical projects using quantitative methods and multivariate statisticsThis summary provides insight into the expectations and responsibilities associated with the Senior Manager Data Sciences role at DDS.
