Sr. Software Engineering Coach, Enterprise Practices

Job Description

As a Technical Coach at Invesco, your role will be pivotal in providing hands-on coaching and guidance to software engineering teams, with a strong focus on adopting and integrating DevOps practices.**Key Responsibilities:**- Provide direct support to software engineering teams in implementing best practices and standards throughout the development process- Analyze project needs and recommend appropriate tools, technologies, and processes for efficient software engineering workflows- Promote best practices for software engineering, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of DevOps practices- Assist teams in troubleshooting technical challenges related to DevOps tools, processes, and software engineering practices- Conduct training sessions and workshops to upskill teams on DevOps tools and techniques- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement**Work Experience / Knowledge:**- Minimum of 6 years of experience in software engineering and DevOps practices- Fundamental knowledge of DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud infrastructure- Experience in software engineering in languages such as Java, Python, Node.JS, and .Net- Experience in leading and mentoring technical teams- Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to continuous learning**Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:**- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences- Ability to empathize with developers and support them through the adoption of new practices- Collaborative work approach with cross-functional teams- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements- Ability to inspire and motivate teams towards common goals- Proactive in issue identification and resolution- Passion for coaching and mentoring team members**Formal Education:**- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field required- Relevant certifications in DevOps, Agile methodologies, or cloud technologies are a plusAt Invesco, the workplace model supports a culture of flexibility and inclusivity.
