Job Description

As a Specialist at Medtronic, you will play a crucial role in directing the development of market requirements for specific product(s) or product line(s). Your responsibilities will include leading product planning, product launches, product management, market development, and market research activities. You will work closely with product managers to identify new marketing opportunities and provide recommendations for action, project scheduling, cost estimation, and project management. Your focus will be on identifying unmet customer requirements and new business opportunities to bring products from idea to market place successfully. Additionally, you will facilitate and coordinate marketing activities with geographic areas to foster teamwork and build partnerships. Your responsibilities may also involve coordinating trade show activities, website development, e-commerce strategy development, and tracking marketing campaigns to evaluate results and provide recommendations for future promotions.In this role, you will be an autonomous individual contributor, working independently under limited supervision to determine and develop solutions. You may also coach and review the work of lower-level specialists and manage projects or processes. You will be responsible for entire projects or processes within your job area, contributing to work group objectives through relationship-building and consensus-building efforts. Your work may involve addressing complex problems and issues, requiring an understanding of multiple job areas or specialties. You will make improvements to processes, systems, or products to enhance job area performance and provide in-depth analysis and recommendations for process improvements.Communication and influence will be key aspects of your role, as you will interact with senior internal and external customers and vendors to exchange information, statuses, ideas, and issues to achieve objectives and influence decision-making. You may also provide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within your job area and manage projects that involve delegating work and reviewing others work products.To qualify for this position, you will need advanced knowledge in your job area, typically acquired through advanced education and experience. Practical knowledge of project management is also desirable.
