Job Description

    As a Senior Associate with RSM US LLP in India, you will be a part of the AMP team within the CIM group, focusing on Tax Accounting Methods & Periods (AMP). Your core responsibilities will revolve around technical expertise, quality delivery, and exceptional client service. You will have the opportunity to develop professionally while contributing to the success of multiple engagements. Heres what you can expect in this role:**Key Responsibilities:**- Deliver AMP projects under the supervision of regional and WNT AMP specialists, covering areas such as revenue recognition, expense recognition, inventory/UNICAP, and cost recovery tax accounting method changes.- Gain a deep understanding of clients businesses to provide expert tax advice, opinions, and position memorandums.- Assist in drafting technical memoranda, legal basis disclosures, responses to IRS inquiries, and IRS Ruling requests.- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, engaging in technical discussions, computations, analysis, data gathering, and resource coordination.- Provide high-quality client service in a timely manner, exceeding client expectations.- Pursue professional development through continuous education and obtaining relevant certifications.- Contribute to the success of CIM engagements, particularly focused on AMP, R&D tax credit studies, and Tangible Property Services (TPS).- Conduct tax planning and research, address complex tax issues, and communicate recommendations to clients.- Foster and maintain client relationships.- Support in the development, motivation, and training of staff.- Stay updated on tax practices and changes in tax law.- Perform any other duties as necessary.**Qualifications Required:**- Minimum of 1 year plus experience in public accounting or a combination of public accounting and industry.- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent from an accredited university.- Intermediate skills in MS Excel and Access.- Ability to collaborate with the Onshore team for tax service requirements.- Advanced Excel skills are mandatory.- Experience in tax research and a background in a specialized practice area within a large national accounting firm.- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.**Preferred Qualifications:**- Progress towards the CPA / EA exam completion, with an opportunity to fulfill audit hours for full certification.- Masters in Accounting or other business-related field; MBA, JD/LLM.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.At RSM, we value our employees and provide a competitive benefits and compensation package, offering flexibility in your schedule to maintain work-life balance while delivering exceptional client service.
