Role Overview:As a software engineer at Google, you will be responsible for developing next-generation technologies that impact how billions of users connect and interact with information. Your role will involve working on critical projects that are essential to Googles needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as the business evolves. You will be expected to bring fresh ideas and expertise in areas such as information retrieval, distributed computing, artificial intelligence, and more. The position requires versatility, leadership qualities, and enthusiasm to tackle new challenges across the full technology stack.Key Responsibilities:- Build a Cloud SaaS offering in Pantheon on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Vertex AI, BigQuery, Looker, Looker Studio, and other GCP technologies.- Contribute to the continuous improvement of performance and scalability in a fast-paced, agile environment.- Design and develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions to meet the growing needs of customers.- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.- Incorporate Googles latest advancements in AI across the full technology stack.- Provide technical expertise during critical incidents and complex problem-solving efforts to ensure high customer satisfaction.Qualifications Required:- Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience.- 5 years of experience in software development.- 5 years of experience with ML design and ML infrastructure including model deployment, model evaluation, data processing, debugging, and fine-tuning.- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Typescript).- Ability to drive innovation in AI and agentic solutions for transforming business functions.- Ability to collaborate with ML engineers and leads on developing reusable enterprise AI primitives.
