Job Description

Role Overview:You will be responsible for managing and maintaining complex, distributed big data ecosystems to ensure reliability, scalability, and security of large-scale production infrastructure. Your key responsibilities will include automating processes, optimizing workflows, troubleshooting production issues, driving system improvements, and collaborating with teams to enhance overall system performance.Key Responsibilities:- Manage, maintain, and support incremental changes to Linux/Unix environments.- Lead on-call rotations, conduct root cause analysis, and drive postmortem processes for incident responses.- Design and implement automation systems for managing big data infrastructure.- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, identify root causes, and implement mitigating strategies.- Collaborate with teams to optimize system performance and enforce security standards.- Develop tools and scripts to automate operational processes, reduce manual workload, and improve system resilience.- Monitor and optimize system performance, identify and address bottlenecks, and implement best practices for performance tuning.- Drive automation to enhance operational efficiency and integrate best practices for reliability and scalability into the software development lifecycle.Qualifications Required:- Over 6 years of experience managing and maintaining distributed big data ecosystems.- Strong expertise in Linux, including IP, Iptables, and IPsec.- Proficiency in scripting/programming with languages like Perl, Golang, or Python.- Hands-on experience with the Hadoop stack and familiarity with open-source configuration management and deployment tools.- Solid understanding of networking, open-source technologies, and related tools.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.- Experience with DevOps tools and SRE logging and monitoring tools.Additional Details about PhonePe Group:PhonePe is Indias leading digital payments company with a vast user base and a wide range of services in the financial sector and tech-enabled businesses.
