  • 3 years of experience with credit analysis primarily; experience in the banking industry, insurance companies, or asset management is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Word and PowerPoint; Microsoft Excel skills are required.
  • Validated and well-developed analytical and modelling skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication capabilities in Portuguese and English.
  • Ability to lead exciting priorities within deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Python programming & Visual Basic for Applications knowledge is a plus.
Education
  • Undergraduate/first-level degree (E.g. Bachelors degree) required, such as economics, accounting, engineering, business administration, statistics, actuarial science.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct quantitative assessment of financial documents and economic/market data, as well as analysis of bond indentures, liquidity agreements, financial statements, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing credit analysis on a dedicated portfolio of companies and transactions.
  • Actively supervise the portfolio and make recommendations for rating transitions in a timely fashion.
  • Present credits efficiently and accurately in rating committees and other internal analytical meetings, formulate a coherent credit rationale and present this rationale in a persuasive fashion.
  • Demonstrate credit rating judgment as evidenced by the ability to distinguish among entities and transactions at different credit ratings levels.
  • Produce timely and relevant research on specific issuers, general credit trends, or sector-related issues that is in-depth, high quality, informative, and focused.
  • Build and manage relationships with investors, advisors, and issuers.
  • Develop Moodys Local Brazil franchise through intermediary marketing and transparency initiatives.
  • Lead issuer meetings, including presenting key credit rating factors optimally and asking probing questions that result in substantive dialog about key credit issues.
