Job Description

    Tarana Wireless was founded in 2009 to research, develop, and commercialize at mass scale a whole new take on wireless access. Our goal is to completely reinvent broadband so it can be faster, more affordable, and much more widely available in both developed and developing economies with a focus on unleashing the potential of wireless as a fully viable long-term alternative to slow, expensive fiber builds. J OB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Take a leadership role in architecting, prototyping wireless PCBAs and take them through NPI into high volume production
    • Schematics and layout design for high speed wireless systems
    • Circuit designs using discretes (passive and active) for integration, filtering, etc.
    • Work with other engineers to test and bring up PCBAs for wireless systems
    • Understand and make design recommendations to improve RF performance
    REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
    • Bachelors degree (MS preferred) in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of relevant Experience
    • Expertise at Schematic and Layout tool usage (Orcad+Allegro or Altium)
    • HFSS and SiWave experience highly desired
    • Design PCBAs and take them to high volume production
    • Work with compliance team to help get regulatory approvals
    • Work with RF engineers to test and integrate into products with antennas
    • Hardware test equipment usage (eg. spectrum analyzers or power meters)
    • Statistical analysis abilities is a plus
    • Knowledge of wireless networks and products
    • Ability to create ECOs, Deviations etc. in Arena BOM management environment
    • RF testing and knowledge of S parameters, phase noise and isolation, return loss, etc.
