Reporting to the Senior Manager of Direct Materials, the Senior Principal Commodity Manager - Direct Materials Sourcing is a critical team member responsible for leading our global strategy in one or more of the following commodities including Silicon, Epitaxy, Chemicals, Gases, Metals and Photomasks used in manufacturing Integrated Circuits (ICs). These commodities reach across hundreds of suppliers and account for over $200 Million in annual spend. Beyond the roles & responsibilities mentioned below, the Senior Principal Commodity Manager leads and drives standardization, identifies, improves and implements tools, policies & procedures, while supporting sizeable acquisitions and respective integrations. We re looking for a proven strategic sourcing leader who is self-driven, highly motivated and strategically creative. You will work primarily with leaders across Suppliers, front end fabs & wafer foundries, corporate/site planning, R&D and Business Units; this requires conducting negotiations, managing Projects and tracking KPI s for the organization. We operate in a dynamic environment that requires a matrix organization approach to managing people, processes, and resources.Partner with a diverse and global stakeholder base to lead and develop multiyear sourcing strategies based on business/market intelligence, long term analysis of the category/commodity and the supply ecosystem.Drive Supplier management; own the commercial interface & negotiations with key SuppliersBe the sourcing leader for Business Unit (BU) support; support commercial needs of BUs for all FE Strategic Sourcing needsMonitor supplier performance & KPI s including action plans in key Procurement pillars to include: driving Value Add/Value Eng g, Productivity, Delivery, Quality and TechnologyLead Project management; drive projects as both Project leader and/or member supporting strategic priorities of Growth, People and ExecutionPromote onsemi values through your leadership actions and act as trusted advisor on sourcing strategies for stakeholders including internal and external partnersOwn development of strategies and Commodity Business Plans CBPs for commodities or technologies assignedLead the strategic selection and commercial management of materials suppliers Work with internal manufacturing, production planning and Global Supply Chain Organization (GSCO) team members to ensure quality reliable capacity is in place at competitive prices to support strategic goalsPositively influence onsemi business strategy with make/buy support and external source selection decisionsRoles & Responsibilities Mantra should be:Develops Solutions for Customer ExpectationsDrives Relentless ImprovementEnsures Timely and Transparent CommunicationAnticipates and Prevents IssuesChallenges Others and Drives Team Unity, *BA/BS degree in Supply Chain, Sourcing, Engineering, or other business/technical field from an accredited university10+ years or more experience in Sourcing is requiredExperience in Contract negotiations including Long Term Supply AgreementsExperience in should-cost modelingExperience in Supplier Relationship ManagementExperience in RFI, RFP & RFQ processesMust be willing to travel domestic and international up to 25% if applying for a position in AsiaFluent oral and written EnglishFamiliarity with local/regional supply logistics and transporation
