As an Altiris Administrator will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of the Altiris Symantec environment including installations, configurations, and customizations and reporting and the Development and support of Applications and Altiris Workflows and Software and related infrastructure, including participation in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.ResponsibilitiesAt least 3 to 6 years of Altiris experience or SCCM experienceExtensive knowledge of Symantec Altiris - Client Management Suite or SCMM.Experience with Symantec Altiris Management Platform based solutions,such as Inventory Solution, Asset Management,Application Metering,symantec Altiris Agent / Software Update Plug-in functionality and Workflow or SCMM.Strong Knowledge in a software packaging creation, and troubleshooting installation of software packages.Experience in creation of Policies and Filters and Tasks in ALtiris or SCMM.Managing and maintaining Patch Management (Distribution of Patches, Hotfixes and other updates)and able to Troubleshooting and analyze the root cause of issues.Strong scripting using Powershell, Bash, and/or VB scripting in order to build automated procedures in line with Altiris or SCMM.Developing SQL queries and creation of custom reports using SQL against the DatabaseGood Exposure to Group Policies creation, their testing and implementation.Must have knowledge in Active Directory, DHCP, IIS,DNS, Hyper-V and configurationIn-depth experience with Windows 7 & Windows 10 configurations and applications - imaging, deployment, and automations.To troubleshoot issues in Microsoft Server and Workstation Operating Systems Windows 2008 R2, 2012 and 2016Utilize the Bomgar remote desktop control utility to assist end users with problems and to show users how to perform certain tasks.Knowledge of Thinclient will be a plus.Fundamental understanding of ITILLinux Working experience, Knowledge & experience in Troubleshooting.Asses the tickets status on a daily basis and follow-up on the backlogs.As a Team member, Responsible for all the assigned activities from but not limited to technical/Project management/Project coordination perspective. Project Activity Planning (wherever applicable and Requested but not limited to) Responsible as a Subject Matter Expert for the projects assigned Execute Project Deliverables in but not limited to technical/Project management/Project coordination perspective with Quality and On-Time Delivery, Solution Center Project closed with agreed deadlines for the projects assigned.Training - Self , Team Members (Cross Training) , Mentoring Peers, Skills Enhancement.Closing of Projects / Activities Properly from Technical perspective (archiving all relevant documentations).
