Job Description

    Job Title: Vegetarian based wellness menu conceptualisation chefJob Overview:We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Vegetarian Menu Conceptualisation Chef to join our culinary team. As the Menu Conceptualization Chef, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the culinary identity of our establishment by developing innovative, healthy and enticing menus that showcase the best of our culinary offerings. Your expertise in culinary trends, flavor profiles, menu creation, and industry knowledge will contribute to the overall success and reputation of our health focussed restaurant.Responsibilities:Menu Development:1. Create and develop unique, healthy, seasonally inspired menus that align with the brands restaurants concept and target audience.2. Collaborate with the executive chef, sous chefs, and culinary team to ensure that menu items are feasible for execution in the kitchen.Culinary Innovation:1. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging ingredients, and. innovative cooking techniques to infuse creativity into menu offerings.2. Experiment with flavor combinations, cooking methods, and presentation styles to bring a fresh and exciting perspective to the culinary offerings.Ingredient Sourcing:1. Work closely with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality, fresh, and seasonal ingredients that align with the restaurants culinary vision.2. Establish and maintain relationships with local farmers, artisans, and producers to ensure a sustainable and diverse supply chain.Cost Management:1. Develop menus that balance creativity with financial viability, considering ingredient costs and pricing strategies.2. Collaborate with the finance team to analyze the profitability of menu items and make adjustments as needed.Collaboration:1. Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure that the menu meets customer preferences, dietary restrictions, and overall dining experience expectations.2. Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to effectively promote new menu offerings and culinary events.Quality Control:1. Establish and enforce quality control standards to ensure consistency and excellence in the preparation and presentation of dishes.2. Conduct tastings and gather feedback to continuously refine and improve menu items.Qualifications:1. Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine, Executive Chef, or similar role with a focus on menu conceptualization.2. In-depth knowledge of culinary trends, ingredients, and techniques.3. Strong understanding of kitchen operations, cost control, and menu profitability.4. Excellent creativity, innovation, and passion for culinary arts.5. Effective communication and collaboration skills.6.
