Job Description

    The Role ContextAs the Program Manager, you will play a crucial role in actively engaging with selected projects under the WIN initiative for up to three years. Your responsibility includes coordinating and overseeing the Project Management Office (PMO), providing essential services to support the incubation and commercialization of research projects. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, training project teams, assigning mentors, and ensuring access to resources for the successful development of commercially viable products and startups.Key Responsibilities1.Project Engagement and Support:1.Actively engage with selected projects throughout the incubation and commercialization phases, providing guidance and support.2.Work closely with project teams to ensure they meet program objectives and milestones.2.PMO Services:1.Manage the Project Management Office (PMO) and oversee the delivery of essential services to each project.2.Ensure that the. following services are provided to selected projects at no cost:1.Training in product incubation and achieving Minimum Viable Product (MVP).2.Entrepreneurship training for project teams.3.Assignment of mentors with domain knowledge to assist in building commercially successful products/startups.4.Access to the best local incubators or accelerators.5.Facilitate access to seed-stage venture capitalists.Training and Mentorship:1.Develop and implement training programs to enhance project teams skills in product incubation, entrepreneurship, and commercialization.2.Facilitate the assignment of mentors with the right domain knowledge to support project teams.4.Leveraging Partnerships:1.Collaborate with government ministries to streamline access to research funds for commercially viable projects.2.Work with government agencies to facilitate WINs supplementing of funding and support during the commercialization phase.5. Stakeholder Collaboration:1.Build and maintain strong relationships with project teams, university faculty, mentors, and external partners.2.Collaborate with local incubators, accelerators, and venture capitalists to enhance project opportunities.6.Monitoring and Reporting:1.Implement monitoring mechanisms to track project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and goals.2.Prepare regular reports for WIN leadership and stakeholders on project status and outcomes.7.Resource Management:1.Ensure efficient allocation of resources, including training resources, mentorship assignments, and access to external support services.8. Continuous Improvement:1.Identify areas for improvement in the program and PMO services, implementing changes to enhance overall effectiveness.9. 360-Degree Support System:1.Establish a support ecosystem that includes mentorship programs, networking events, and access to industry experts, providing participants with a well-rounded support structure.2.Collaborate with successful entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals to create a dynamic learning environment.3.Developing and implementing initiatives to foster creativity, provide practical skills, and offer strategic guidance to enable the successful launch and growth of venturesQualifications:Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field for atleast 8 years.Proven experience in project management, preferably in research incubation or innovation centers.Strong understanding of entrepreneurship, product development, and startup ecosystems.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and navigate complex partnerships,
