Job Description

You are invited to join our team as an Electrician, Technician, or Helper to contribute to a large-scale Distribution Panel (DP) and Smart Meter Installation Project. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining smart meters, distribution panels, and related equipment in the field, ensuring adherence to safety procedures, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards.For the Electrician/Technician position, we are seeking candidates with a minimum of 13 years of experience in electrical work, preferably in metering or panel installations. On the other hand, Helpers are required to have basic knowledge or a willingness to undergo training, with prior field assistance experience being an advantage.Key responsibilities for Electricians/Technicians include installing and wiring smart meters and distribution panels according to specifications, performing electrical connections/disconnections safely and accurately, conducting testing and troubleshooting of equipment, coordinating with site supervisors and utility staff for live installations, maintaining proper documentation of installation data and reports, and strictly adhering to electrical safety norms and guidelines.As a Helper, your duties will involve assisting electricians/technicians with material handling and basic tasks, preparing the site for installations by cleaning, unpacking, and organizing tools, supporting with ladder holding, tool passing, and wiring under supervision, ensuring cleanliness in the work area, and helping maintain safety protocols.Electricians/Technicians are required to have an ITI/Diploma in Electrical or relevant field (preferred for technicians), familiarity with smart meter installation and DP wiring, ability to read electrical diagrams and handle field tools, knowledge of electrical safety standards, willingness to travel for field work, and work in various weather conditions. Helpers should have a minimum qualification of 10th pass, be physically fit to assist in field installation work, willing to learn on-the-job, and follow instructions carefully.Preferred qualifications include prior experience in utility, power distribution, or smart metering projects, an electrical license for electricians/technicians, and familiarity with handheld meter reading or configuration devices.Remuneration for the positions will be based on experience and role (Electrician/Technician/Helper), with frequent travel to installation sites required. Working hours will be as per project requirements, including weekends if necessary. Job types available include Full-time, Permanent, Fresher, Internship, Contractual/Temporary, and Freelance, with a contract length of 12 months.Benefits provided include cell phone reimbursement, flexible schedule, health insurance, internet reimbursement, leave encashment, life insurance, paid sick time, and Provident Fund.
