AGM Data Governance & Strategy

Job Description

Role Overview:As the AGM Data Governance and Strategy at Pernod Ricard India, your main responsibility will be to establish a robust data governance capability. This involves developing awareness, acculturation, and training around data governance, creating visibility on the data landscape and flows structure, identifying data contributors and owners, formalizing data standards policies and processes, leveraging data governance tools, and actively contributing to key digital programs. You will also be responsible for defining and operationalizing governance processes, improving data acquisition, managing external data vendor relationships, handling incidents, and fostering data stewardship best practices.Key Responsibilities:- Develop awareness, acculturation, and training around data governance.- Create visibility on the data landscape and flows structure.- Identify Data Contributors and Data Owners within Functional teams.- Formalize data standards policies and processes.- Leverage data governance tools and enablers.- Actively contribute to Key Digital Programs and major Tech changes.- Define and operationalize governance processes for data creation and validation.- Improve data acquisition and manage external data vendor relationships.- Own and handle incidents, problems, and change requests for data assets.- Foster data stewardship best practices in projects.- Actively participate in the global community of data management experts.Qualifications Required:- Bachelor or masters degree in business informatics, Business Administration, or related field in business with technical knowledge.Skills and Knowledge Required:- Good communication and presentation skills.- Ability to influence and embark the organization on the data governance journey.- Experience in working with data structures on an enterprise level.- Self-starter with self-sufficient working capability.- Experience with data profiling and data cleansing.- Technical skills in SQL, Excel (i.e. V-lookup), Power BI, reporting query tools, Tableau, MicroStrategy.- Entrepreneurial appetite and resilience.Experience Required:- 10 years of experience in Master Data Management (MDM), Data Governance, and Data Quality domains.- Expertise with data product hierarchies, data structures, and data mapping.- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing data vendors or data providers.
