Fixed Asset Accountant II

Job Description

As a Fixed Asset Accountant at Bio-Rad Laboratories, your role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely recording of Fixed Asset Transactions within the Finance Shared Services Center (FSSC) in compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and local GAAP when necessary. Your responsibilities include:- Maintaining Fixed Asset ledger accounts for entities covered by FSSC, including updating and maintaining for US GAAP & Statutory reporting- Conducting timely and accurate monthly balance sheet account reconciliations- Assigning transaction codes to documents and ensuring settlement at month-end- Recording depreciation for each asset monthly and preparing journal entries to the general ledger- Assisting/preparing annual property tax filings and managing physical count of Fixed Assets- Managing the asset tagging process post asset placement in service- Assisting in month-end closing activities, including reporting to Corporate, updating closing schedules, and preparing Fixed Asset roll forwards- Working on unique projects and problems, including special projects involving general accounting systemsYour qualifications should include:- Chartered Accountant, CPA, ACCA, Cost Accountant, or equivalent degree in accounting and finance- Minimum three years of experience in fixed assets or general accounting for a Multinational Company- Strong understanding of SAP or similar ERP systems, with Blackline experience preferred- Experience in a Shared Service Center or for a US/EU Multinational is desirable- Knowledge of internal controls and US GAAP accounting- Analytical and problem-solving background, along with process and project management skillsAbout Bio-Rad:With a legacy of 70 years, Bio-Rad focuses on advancing the discovery process and transforming the fields of science and healthcare.
