Sr Financial Systems Analyst

Job Description

As a Senior Financial Systems Analyst at Gartner, your primary objective will be to support globally based users of various financial applications while maintaining and extending the functionality of these applications to meet the dynamic business needs of the finance organization.**Key Responsibilities:**- Assist in the timely execution of monthly, quarterly & yearly accounting close activities- Support day-to-day operations for financial applications, resolving user/application issues with urgency and a customer-first mindset- Utilize creative and analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve data/system issues with guidance from management- Report unresolved issues to the IT team- Develop dashboards related to financial close processes and finance business units- Understand business needs and develop necessary reports to support daily operations- Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries of financial data from ERP and other source systems**Qualifications Required:**- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in financial systems, accounting, information technology, or related fields- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science/Management Information Systems preferred- Experience in roles involving communication between business units and IT- Passion for technology translating into high business acumen- Strong organizational and time management skills with a sense of urgency- Customer service mindset with the ability to anticipate customer needs- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with various teams and drive results- Ability to design and build processes using technology to solve business problems- Experience with Oracle Fusion, PowerBI, and strong SQL skills- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an understanding of business processesGartner offers an outstanding work environment with rapid advancement potential, fostering a collaborative and creative team culture.
