Role Overview:As a Data Operations Testing AVP at HSBC, you will be a crucial part of the team responsible for ensuring data quality and accuracy in various systems. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, manage projects effectively, and communicate findings in a clear and concise manner. Your role will involve analyzing large datasets, identifying trends and patterns, and implementing data management processes to maintain data integrity.Key Responsibilities:- Demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills and experience.- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and collaborate effectively.- Conduct Data Quality assessments, Source Systems Analysis, and Source-Target Mapping Design.- Manage and complete projects on time with high-quality work.- Utilize advanced experience with spreadsheets and data analysis tools.- Participate in release management and file-mapping for new implementations.- Create data standards, assess data quality, and develop data integration recommendations.- Be a subject matter expert on targeting, optimizing, and developing insights.- Collaborate with Business Analysts to capture data requirements and deliver necessary data.- Run queries, compile data for analytics, and develop business requirements.- Analyze very large data stores using SQL.- Design and implement Metadata, reports, and dashboards.- Develop data mining models to identify trends within datasets.- Implement changes to Business Frameworks, reporting hierarchies, and allocation rules.- Ensure data accuracy and cleanliness through statistical methods.- Protect data integrity by developing robust controls and procedures.- Proactively resolve data exceptions and investigate complex technical issues.- Create process flow diagrams, establish data lineage, and manage data dictionaries.- Develop UAT test cases/scripts and manage UAT plan for data warehouse implementation.- Familiarize with Visualization tools like QlikSense, Tableau, Power BI.- Communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders across geographies.Qualifications Required:- Postgraduate/Graduate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.- 8 years of experience in data management and analysis.- Experienced Finance Professional with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.- High-level understanding of regulatory guidelines in financial services.- Proficiency in SQL/PL SQL, ETL, and data mining tools.- Automation expertise in reporting solutions using Python, VBA.- Proficient in technical troubleshooting and problem-solving.- Strong analytical and lateral thinking skills.- Excellent relationship management skills across diverse organizations.- Previous experience working in dynamic environments with limited supervision.(Note: Additional details of the company were not provided in the job description.)
