Job Description

Position Overview:We are seeking a seasoned, high-caliber procurement professional with 8-10 years of experience to join our team as Assistant Manager Strategic Sourcing / Procurement in New Delhi. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical and commercial expertise across mechanical commodities (specifically Fasteners, Industrial Tools, or Garage Equipment) and a strong background in alternate vendor development and strategic cost optimization.Key Responsibilities:Category Sourcing Strategy: Design and implement short and long-term procurement frameworks for Fasteners, Industrial Tools, Garage Equipment, and Mechanical Commodities to optimize costs and minimize risks.Vendor Development & Alternate Sourcing: Proactively identify, evaluate, and onboard high-performing alternate suppliers/vendors to build a highly agile supply chain network.Cost Management & Reduction: Lead cost reduction initiatives through rigorous total cost of ownership (TCO) evaluation, should-cost modeling, and implementation of innovative supply chains.Supplier Performance Management: Track, review, and manage ongoing supplier performance matrices (KPIs) covering quality, lead time, delivery compliance, and commercial competitiveness.Negotiation & Contract Management: Architect and negotiate major commercial contracts, annual price agreements, and service-level agreements (SLAs) with global and regional vendors.Cross-functional Collaboration: Work in close alignment with internal Design, Engineering, and Quality teams to execute seamless raw material transitions and component localizations.Desired Candidate Profile:Education: B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical or Electrical engineering background preferred).Experience: 8 to 10 years of strong experience explicitly within Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, or Procurement functions in the industrial components/engineering sector.Core Commodity Knowledge: Direct exposure and industry knowledge of Fasteners, Hand/Power Tools, Garage Equipment, or precision mechanical components are mandatory.Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in cost breakdown analysis, commercial negotiation frameworks, and working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP MM/Oracle).Competencies: Exceptional analytical ability, high learning agility, and strong corporate presentation/communication skills.
