Job Description

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), your role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks for both web and backend applications. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality product releases. Your responsibilities will include writing clean and scalable full-stack automation code using modern tools and technologies, developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts, and identifying, analyzing, and tracking bugs with detailed reports and root-cause analysis. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing CI/CD automation, integrating test suites into pipelines, continuously improving QA processes, tools, and coverage, and providing guidance and mentorship to junior SDETs and QA engineers.Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web and backend applications.- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure high-quality product releases.- Write clean, scalable full-stack automation code using modern tools and technologies.- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional and non-functional testing.- Identify, analyze, and track bugs with detailed reports and root-cause analysis.- Implement CI/CD automation and integrate test suites into pipelines.- Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and coverage to ensure high product reliability.- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior SDETs and QA engineers.Qualifications Required:- Strong hands-on experience in Java, Python, or JavaScript.- Solid understanding of Full-Stack Development concepts encompassing both backend and frontend.- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.- Knowledge of backend testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.- Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.- Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.- Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.- Experience with version control tools such as Git.- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to write clean, maintainable code.- Experience in performance or security testing is a plus.
