Job Description

    As a member of the Tax Team at Bank of America, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to tax preparation and filing, book to tax adjustments, and working with finance teams and tax authorities. Your role will involve collaborating closely with the AFIT & Forecasting group, legal entity forecasts counterparts, and regulatory reporting teams to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance. Here are the key responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation and review of federal, state, and international tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.- Prepare and review complex tax adjustments as part of the annual tax return compliance process.- Handle State return sub-processes such as Appt Calculations, State Modification, and Attributes.- Understand and work on International Tax returns and tax items like Sub Part F, GILTI, BEAT Calculation, and FTC.- Support the tax provision process by preparing tax-related journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements disclosures.- Conduct tax research, provide guidance on tax regulations, and assist with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.- Collaborate with internal teams to address tax-related issues effectively and participate in process improvement initiatives.- Previous tax planning/forecasting and interpretation experience will be beneficial, along with advanced Excel skills.To be considered for this role, you should have the following qualifications:Qualifications:- Education: CA/Masters in Finance- Certifications: Enrolled Agent- Experience Range: 14 yearsFoundational Skills:- US tax experience in direct tax, Corporation, Partnership, and E&P calculations- Experience with US State Income Tax returns and US GAAP Accounting for Income TaxesDesired Skills:- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal- Highly motivated, able to work independently, and possess problem-solving and analytical skills- Organized, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment- Proficiency in Excel and SharePoint, with knowledge of Macros preferredPlease note that the work timings for this role are from 11AM to 11PM (9 hrs shift), and the job location is in Gurugram.
