Job Description

    As a Principal Tech Lead / Data Scientist at Cvent, you will be primarily focused on data analysis, ML modeling, and Generative AI data products. Your responsibilities will include analyzing data across various areas of the organization, understanding end-to-end business processes, and developing solutions independently with minimal support. You will be tasked with developing strategies using data analysis and machine learning models to provide meaningful and actionable recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.In this role, your key responsibilities will include:- Collaborating with stakeholders at different levels to understand current processes and identify optimization or growth opportunities.- Augmenting data and insights to drive scale and efficiency for stakeholders and partners.- Working individually or as part of a team on data science and analytical projects.- Defining business problems and translating them into statistical/analytical problems.- Developing statistical and machine learning models using various techniques and technologies such as Python, SQL, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Excel, Sigma, etc.- Performing machine learning research on various types of data including numeric, text, audio, video, and image.- Leveraging LLMs for tasks like text summarization, categorization, and data gathering.- Documenting your work and results thoroughly for replication by other data scientists.- Creating data products on Streamlit and Sigma backed by machine learning models.Qualifications required for this role:- A bachelors degree in a quantitative field such as natural sciences, math, statistics, or computer science.- 4 - 7 years of experience working as a data scientist in the industry.- Strong conceptual and technical understanding of machine learning, including model training and evaluation.- Proficiency in regression modeling, supervised and unsupervised classification, tree-based techniques, and prompt engineering best practices.- Deep understanding of emerging LLM technologies, Linux operating system, Python, SQL, AWS Cloud, Databricks, Streamlit, MS-Excel, and MS-PowerPoint.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to precision of language and logical organization of information.Join Cvents Tech Lead team and be part of a culture that values diversity, celebrates differences, and fosters intrapreneurship to drive innovation in the meetings and events industry.,
