The Specialist (Procurement) role at SoftwareOne involves assisting customers by providing price quotes from publishers and updating them in the ERP System according to standards and within SLA. Acting as a liaison between SoftwareOne subsidiaries, various publishers, and suppliers, the team undertakes a variety of tasks aimed at driving business growth with efficiency, accuracy, and speed.Your responsibilities will include managing customer data, handling price inquiries, coordinating renewals, and utilizing basic-level publisher expertise. This role plays a key part in enhancing customer relationships and optimizing operational efficiency across these activities.As a Specialist (Procurement), you will be part of a team engaged in diverse tasks to support business growth, focusing on efficiency, accuracy, and speed in processing. This role has a global scope, with direct reporting to the Team Leader and close collaboration with Regional Delivery Leaders. The Procurement Operations team is rapidly expanding within SoftwareOnes SW&C Marketplace Delivery and is currently seeking motivated and skilled employees to drive its evolution as the operational backbone for SoftwareOnes strategy and vision towards Software Portfolio Management.Responsibilities:- Prioritize quotes from publishers and suppliers.- Maintain basic knowledge of service and solution offerings specific to publishers and act as a customer-facing resource for sales activities.- Research and gather necessary information to complete tasks.- Communicate promptly and effectively via emails, reports, and reminders.- Achieve organizational goals by adapting to new requests and seeking opportunities for job performance improvement.- Support requests from customers, partners, sales representatives, and other operations team members.- Collaborate with internal and external partners to achieve procurement objectives.- Establish and maintain relationships with publishers and distributors.- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert on publishers Products and Licensing for internal contacts and customers.- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.- Lead multiple tasks simultaneously, completing work within allocated time frames as an individual contributor.Job Requirements:- Bachelors/Masters Degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, supply chain (preferred).- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- 4-7 years of prior experience in software procurement and customer-facing roles.- Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.- Attention to detail and curiosity.- Strong problem-solving, consultative, and research skills.- Ability to prioritize customer needs.- Strong multitasking and time management skills.- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.- Basic software licensing knowledge of Tier 1/2 publishers (added advantage).SoftwareOne is a global provider of end-to-end software and cloud technology solutions, headquartered in Switzerland.
