Job Description

    You will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions using MS SQL Server (SSMS). Your tasks will include troubleshooting and migrating business logic from PL/SQL to T-SQL where necessary, as well as performing query performance tuning and optimization to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing. Additionally, you will design and maintain database objects to ensure data integrity and security. Developing ETL workflows to support data integration and transformation needs will also be part of your role. Collaboration with Database Administrators, Analysts, and Operations teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions is essential. Supporting process improvement and automation initiatives related to database development is also expected. Your understanding of relational data models and contribution to database design and documentation will be valuable.Qualifications required for this role include a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline. You should have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience as an SQL Developer or in data storage and management roles. Strong proficiency with the MS SQL Server platform and environment, including SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), is necessary. In-depth knowledge of SQL Tables, data types, stored procedures, views, functions, and T-SQL programming is essential. You must also have the ability to understand PL/SQL and translate/troubleshoot logic into T-SQL. Experience in query performance tuning and optimization, exposure to ETL workflow development and data integration processes, and familiarity with relational data models and database design tools are advantageous. Experience with process improvement and automation in database development is a plus.
