Job Description

JOB SUMMARY Applies extensive in-depth or broad knowledge, skills and practices to perform a variety of difficult assignments. Regularly uses new technologies, theories, concepts and techniques through designing, modifying, developing, writing and implementing software programming applications for a healthcare organization. Solves various software problems by using a wide range of technologies and languages. The Senior Software Engineer supports projects regarding application analysis, coding, testing and enhancement. Basic knowledge of relational databases, Object Oriented programming, RESTful APIs, designing and developing for the web, knowledge Java and JavaScript, DevOps familiarity, knowledge of a source control system, familiarity with Agile, operating systems and their tool sets, and customer business functions and terminology. Cloud experience a plus. Working in an agile environment with CI CD being given the highest importance. Work on product licensing and SAS based offering of the application. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with engineers or software developers to select appropriate design solutions or ensure the compatibility of system components. Showcases strong interpersonal skills. Write, understand, review, and rewrite programs, using workflow chart and diagram, and applying knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic. Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. Connect user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance. Demonstrates experience with the architecture and design of major or multiple products. SKILLS REQUIRED Experience Development in an agile methodology Experience working in end to end DevOps pipeline 5+ year developing enterprise level products in JAVA Experience in SAS development Comfortable working with relational and document databases such as MySQL, SQL and Mongo Experience developing applications the Spring Framework; Spring MVC a plus Comfortable working with Enterprise Linux. Experience working with Gradle, Maven, Jenkins and other alternative tools used for CI and CD Experience developing and integrating cloud technologies Expert in developing & integrating RESTful or SOAP web service APIs QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree or higher in a computer-related field required. 5 + years of related experience required.
