Job Description

Position Description (GL 28)Primary Responsibilities:Identify, design, model and implement database work products/solutions including controllingscalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes. Must have strong hand-on with on-premises and cloud-based database implementation models.Analyze existing admin systems, understands business requirements, create HIPAA compliantlogical/physical designs for the DBs and contribute towards drafting functional requirementsinto technical artifacts.Lead the discovery and development of new methods and models using a broad range of datamodeling and analysis techniques. Should be capable to integrate distinct database models.Provide recommendations and guidance to project leads based on insights gleaned from data.Effectively direct, manage and plan the operational, functional, technical and administrativeactivities to support ongoing delivery of services and/or operations.Collaborate and communicate effectively with our broader product teams, while supporting ad-hoc analytics where neededActive role in training, coaching and mentoring staff within methodology and in other functionsRequired Qualifications:Bachelors degree or equivalent experience5+ years of Data Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Actuarial experienceAdvanced proficiency in model-building languages such as R and PythonAdvanced proficiency in PySpark using Azure Cloud.Advanced proficiency in model presentations using Tableau / Power BIT-SQL development skills in Objects creation, stored procedures designing to meet the businessrequirementsWorking knowledge of relational databases, DWH concepts, Data Migration/Integration anddatabase structures and proficiency in SQLStrong written and verbal communication skills and experience interacting with seniormanagementSolid leadership skills and demonstrated ability to lead product initiatives in order to achieveteam goals and outcomesShould be well versed working in Agile methodology / Kanban (End to End managing the userstories within the sprint)Preferred Requirements:PhD or Masters Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a relatedfieldMachine learning and/or statistical modeling expertiseExperience deploying data science models in a production settingJenkins (CI-CD), Docker, Azure Cloud development experienceExperience working on large scale, multiple team projectsAutomate test cases for development.Unix Scripting experienceExperience and/or exposure in dealing with health care claims experience (i.e. understanding ofcosts, expected claims, diagnosis codes, procedure codes)Have a proven track record of delivering robust and scalable analytical applications in a cloudenvironmentExperience working with Data Science/Machine Learning libraries such as h2o, TensorFlow,caret, Keras, scikit-learn, etc.Experience building robust data pipelines using a variety of data sources, programminglanguages, and toolsetsHands-on experience in one or more big data ecosystem products/languages such as SparkAcquired knowledge of healthcare pricing of groups sized 51+Experience in applying optimization procedures (gradient, genetic, ant colony) to a large data set,
