The QE Dev Academy Lead fills a critical role in the development of new engineers that have joined Solutions Technology. The Lead will be responsible for the overall Quality of initiatives completed by the Dev Academy group. Additionally, this role will manage QE/QA training programs, align Dev Academy engineers with test engineering requirements, and produce regular reports and metrics regarding the progress of engineers in the program.Department OverviewThe Solutions Technology Quality Engineering team comprises of highly skilled and experienced QA professionals located around the world. The team engages in development of automation and functional testing of client facing products and services. Duties & Accountabilities- Work directly with QA and Development partners to design and implement automated test solutions- Proven understanding of SaaS, SDLC, CI/CD, Agile/Scrum, TDD, BDD, and object-oriented design principals- Exhibits excellent technical troubleshooting ability- Participates with team to develop user stories and build features- Drives team to include Quality based functional and non-functional requirements- Delivers transparent automation testing results- Shows passion for testing technologies new and old- Contributes and adheres to QA best practicesAdditional Education and experience- 10 - 15 years experience in all aspects of QA- Proven team leadership experience- Services: Azure DevOps, Amazon Web Services- Technologies: Test Automation and Development languages- Automation: Web GUI and API test automation- Tools: IDE, CLI, SQL, NoSQL, API Tools, PowerBIBusiness CompetenciesCandidate must display a basic understanding of various financial asset types, interest calculations, etc.Key Soft Skills- Passion for training and coaching new resources- Leads by example through mentorship of new joiners- Highly creative and organized- Displays ownership over the software quality- Ability to influence product and development counterparts- Strong written and verbal communication skillsExpectations- Direct (reporting line) resources as the onboard to Dev Academy. These will be junior software engineers that do not clear career path identified for Dev or QA yet.- Partner with other Dev Academy leads.- Build and manage learning and career paths for engineers.- Organize and participate in interviewing candidates for the graduate and intern programs.- Manage multiple project workstreams.
