Job Description

Our client is the major player in Oil Based Soap Industry in Indonesia.We are looking forJob Title :Research & Development ManagerQualifications :University Diploma in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or Related MajorGood command and written EnglishComputer literateExperience :Minimum 10-15 years ofhard core R&D experience in relevant field of Saponification (Preferably Oil Base Saponification), Bar Soaps (Both Toilet, Laundry Soaps, Soap Noodles & Refined Glycerine)Responsibilities and Authorities:

To communicate and cooperate with customer for new product development
To arrange all necessary development activities and cooperate with all related dept In the company
To Lead & Supervise R&D team in conducting development activity. To Train the R&D Team.
To prepare the report to the management including preparing formulation and specification of new product.
To Develop World Class Quality, Cost Efficient & Market Grabbing Soap Formulations
To Give solutions for Formulation Relating Issues for Efficiency
To ensure that all the Products are well tested under all environmental accelerated tests & with Panel tests before commercial launch.
To Always be In touch with Perfumery Houses & Other RM / PM suppliers to stay updated on the New Market Trends & Taking out Trials Proactively to Develop such Samples that are World Class Quality, Cost Efficient, Good Market grabbing attributes.
To Coordinate with Customer for Packaging & Printing Development.
To work with all Packaging Suppliers for New Packaging Developments on Time Always.
To ensure all Process Parameters for Saponification, Soap Finishing lines & Glycerine are very well formulated, tested & communicated. To work with Production for effective following of paremeters.
To formulate the Loading Specifications in conjunction with warehouse & logistics for effective Logistics cost efficiency.
To assist Management & Purchase with Alternate Good Quality But Cost Efficient Raw Materials / Packing Materials.
To Help Finance Manager with Cost Efficient Good Quality Formulations. And Help Him / her for any costing, if need be.
To develop Packaging in such a way that Its Efficient in Container Load ability for Optimum Transportation costs.
To work as Back up for QC Manager if need be.
To work in close coordination with Cross Functional Teams to achieve Best Results.
To work for Lab Results to evaluate the Market Samples & Company Retain Samples for Comparison
Must be able to develop the Good World Class Soap Formulations by Evaluating the Results by Lab Evaluations, Usage Evaluations, Sample Surveys etc.
To Prepare Annual Budget for his / her department & ensure that Budget is not overrun.
