Job Description

Role Overview:As a Marine Officer specializing in Jetty operations, your main responsibility will be to execute end-to-end Jetty Operational policies and standard operating procedures. You will be in charge of implementing safe and efficient vessel unloading/loading activities for all kinds of products. Your role will involve adhering to routine inspections and checks of vessels as per established guidelines to ensure clean and contamination-free handling of cargo in alignment with the companys overall goals and objectives.Key Responsibilities:- Conduct day-to-day activities related to jetty operations and ensure compliance with relevant policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions for consistent and controlled work.- Stay updated with trends in jetty operation practices and technology advancements to contribute to continuous improvement of jetty systems, processes, and procedures.- Carry out jetty operations according to set goals to achieve maximum efficiency and ensure clean and contamination-free handling of cargo.- Perform engineering planning and assessments of marine facilities including berthing, mooring, cargo-handling, fire protection, pollution prevention, and other facilities.- Coordinate with various departments for daily operations and maintenance activities, follow up on preventive maintenance schedules, and troubleshoot issues at the jetty.- Perform operational assessments to assist facilities with risk management activities, ensure compliance with industry/company standards, and strive for zero accidents and near misses.- Implement and monitor a facility inspection plan to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.Qualification Required:- Education Qualifications: Bachelors in Engineering (Mechanical / Instrumental / Electrical) or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Instrumental / Electrical)- Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar domainAdditional Company Details:The Marine Officer role in Jetty operations involves close coordination with internal teams such as Terminal Operations Team, Safety Team, and Jetty Crew, as well as external stakeholders including Vessel Crew, Auditors, and Regulatory Bodies.
