Manager - Supply Planning

Job Description

As a Supply Chain Manager, your role involves leading and facilitating Supply and MRP reviews with stakeholders to achieve planning metrics such as DIFOT, Inventory, and Turnover. You will drive the development and implementation of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process across the organization and ensure adherence to agreed production plans while monitoring supply fill rates and reporting deviations. Your responsibilities will also include releasing production plans to operations, preparing dispatch plans according to demand and production schedules, and developing replenishment models for efficient inventory management based on market dynamics and supply constraints.Key Responsibilities:- Lead and facilitate Supply and MRP reviews to achieve planning metrics- Drive the development and implementation of the Sales & Operations Planning process- Ensure adherence to production plans and monitor supply fill rates- Release production plans and prepare dispatch plans according to demand- Develop replenishment models for efficient inventory management- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless product delivery- Coordinate with outbound logistics for timely delivery targets- Drive goal attainment and enhance forecast accuracy- Monitor key performance indicators proactively- Optimize requirements versus commitments for efficient supply chain interactionsIn addition, you should be proficient in structured communication, capable of presenting effectively to individuals and groups. You should have familiarity with advanced Excel and other forecasting tools for data analysis and informed decision-making. Your strong decision-making skills, effective negotiation abilities, and excellent planning and organizing skills will be essential for resolving complex issues, collaborating successfully, and managing tasks and resources effectively.Qualifications Required:- Bachelors degree in Engineering / Science / CommerceDesired Qualification:- Masters Degree in Operations Management / Logistics / Operations Research / Supply Chain / Materials ManagementYour expertise in demand planning within industries such as Solar, Electronics, Pharma, or similar make-to-order supply chain environments will be valuable. You should also have an up-to-date understanding of contemporary supply chain management methodologies, possess APICS certification showcasing advanced proficiency in supply chain management principles, and proficiency in SAP APO/SCM systems. Your proficiency in maximizing commitments versus actuals, focusing on analyzing and optimizing requirements versus commitments, and skill in inventory optimization will contribute to enhanced operational performance.With 7-10 years of total experience, you are expected to be self-motivated, highly adaptable, and capable of performing under pressure in a dynamic work environment.
