Job Description

    As a Chef DevOps Engineer with 8 to 10 years of relevant experience, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Chef cookbooks for Windows and Linux environments. Your expertise in Chef, AWS, and modern DevOps practices will be crucial in ensuring infrastructure automation, CI/CD implementation, and system reliability.Your key responsibilities will include creating new cookbooks for operating systems, developing cookbooks for application deployments like MS SQL and MongoDB, and implementing automated testing to guarantee reliability and compliance. Additionally, you will maintain existing Chef recipes, monitor and address trouble tickets, and proactively remediate alerts from the Chef dashboard.You will also be involved in managing the Chef Automate platform on AWS EC2, performing upgrades and maintenance of Chef software, supporting disaster recovery procedures, and promoting cookbooks across different environments. Designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Env0 will be part of your DevOps responsibilities, along with monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high availability.To excel in this role, you should have strong hands-on experience with Chef, familiarity with AWS and infrastructure automation, and proficiency in CI/CD tools. Scripting skills in Ruby, Python, or Bash are essential, along with excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.If you possess the required technical proficiency, scripting and programming skills, as well as the soft skills mentioned above, and are seeking a challenging opportunity as a Chef DevOps Engineer, we encourage you to apply.
