Job Description

    The role of Head of Inventory & Warehousing at Alutec in Kochi, Kerala involves overseeing all inventory management, warehousing, and storage operations. Your responsibilities include developing strategies to optimize inventory levels, managing material storage and movement, and ensuring efficient operation of warehousing facilities at different locations. You will lead initiatives to improve warehouse efficiency, safety, and compliance while managing a team of warehousing professionals.Your key responsibilities will include developing and implementing strategies for efficient inventory management, storage, and distribution of materials. You will oversee warehouse operations to ensure optimal space utilization, material handling, and safety compliance. Monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with procurement and planning teams to maintain stock accuracy, and avoiding shortages or excesses will also be part of your role. Leading initiatives to enhance warehouse processes, including automation, material flow, and inventory tracking is crucial. Furthermore, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies across all warehousing activities is essential. You will also be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of warehouse managers, inventory controllers, and storekeepers.To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 10-12 years of experience in inventory management and warehousing, including at least 5 years in a leadership role. Strong expertise in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, logistics, and supply chain strategy is required.
