Linux Support Engineer

Job Description

As a Linux Support Engineer at Voxbay, your role will involve maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering Voxbays Linux servers and Asterisk platform. You will be responsible for assisting with software and hardware installations, monitoring system performance, and heading the support team. Your key responsibilities will include:- Maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering Voxbays Linux servers and Asterisk platform- Assisting with software and hardware installations- Monitoring system performance- Heading the support teamTo qualify for this role, you should have:- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role- Strong expertise in Linux operating systems and Asterisk SIP servers- Experience in Bash and Python scripting- Experience in VoIP and networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, RTP, and SIP- Ability to diagnose complex system issues and implement solutions- Hands-on experience in Asterisk SIP Server- Hands-on experience in WEBRTC- Asterisk integration with CRM is preferred- Asterisk integration with Database (MySQL and MSSQL) with knowledge of queries and stored procedures- Good knowledge of Linux commands- Experience in installing Hosted VoIP- Experience in IP phone, soft phones- Good knowledge of SIP- MySQL and Telephony Domain- Ability to test and troubleshoot Asterisk applications/issues- Strong Knowledge of PBX, SIP, and RTP protocols- Strong knowledge of multi-asterisk server architecture- Sound knowledge of Asterisk Dial-plan, Asterisk Gateway Interface, and Asterisk Manager Interface- Worked on Queue, IVR, and Voicemail-related applications- Expert in Asterisk installation, configuration, and troubleshooting- R&D skills in Asterisk- Experienced with Linux servers (Centos, Apache, MySQL, PHP)- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Ability to work independently and as part of a teamVoxbay is a global leader in enterprise communications systems, providing Cloud Telephony, unified communications, contact centers, and related services to leading businesses worldwide.
