Job Description

    As a Mechanical Engineer at Sea Blue Shipyard, located in Ernakulam, you will be an integral part of our engineering team, dedicated to planning, supervising, and executing mechanical works related to shipbuilding and ship repair. We are looking for individuals with 3 to 15 years of experience in the shipbuilding or manufacturing industry, holding a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.Your key responsibilities will include supervising the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems on vessels, overseeing components like engines, piping systems, pumps, and auxiliary machinery, and collaborating with design and production teams to meet project requirements. You will also be responsible for conducting inspections, identifying faults, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations, and preparing technical documentation and progress reports.To excel in this role, you must possess strong knowledge of mechanical systems, fabrication, and marine equipment, along with the ability to read technical drawings and use engineering tools/software. Your leadership, communication, and team coordination skills will be essential for successful project execution. Additionally, a willingness to work in a shipyard environment with hands-on involvement is crucial.Preferred skills for this position include experience with marine classification societies and regulatory bodies, knowledge of CAD tools, maintenance planning, and quality control systems, as well as exposure to both new build and repair projects.This is a full-time position with benefits such as health insurance and Provident Fund.
