Job Description

    As a Test Engineer 3 at Hyland Software, you will play a crucial role in leading and maintaining the implementation of the delivery pipeline, test automation frameworks, build environments, test environments, and security. Your responsibilities will include verifying system functionality through executing complex automated and manual tests, analyzing results, and providing recommendations. Additionally, you will create and manage performance metrics, defects/enhancements, test cases, and test results within a team setting.Operating as a trusted advisor, you will identify and implement improved test tools and automation methodologies. You will analyze and report test results, monitor trends over time, and offer guidance to teams for continuous improvement. Mentoring, coaching, training, and providing feedback to other team members will be essential aspects of your role, and you may also provide feedback to leadership on the technical abilities of the team.In this position, you will research complex escalations for production or software issues to ensure application stability. Completing peer code reviews for test automation code, incorporating feedback into automated tests, and influencing standards and processes of the team and events will be part of your responsibilities. You will need to assess the business value and broader impact of software changes when designing automated tests, contributing to the prioritization of the team backlog.To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in writing automated tests in TypeScript/JavaScript, familiarity with test automation tools like Playwright, and experience in complex automation testing and implementing frameworks are required. You should also have knowledge of software application testing tools, methodologies, and process frameworks, as well as experience with test automation and continuous integration tools.Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are essential to interact with others professionally, demonstrating discretion and tact. Your significant experience in test design, source control systems, development on Windows/Linux platforms, multiple scripting tools, build environments, delivery pipelines, programming or scripting, database technology, and Agile frameworks will contribute to your success in this role. Your ability to document standards, practice guidelines, and standards will be valuable in maintaining high-quality testing processes and results.,
