Job Description

    PurposeThe Head of Department (HOD) General Business is responsible for driving overall business growth, revenue achievement, market expansion, profitability, and team performance within the General Business segment. The role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans, strengthening customer relationships, managing regional and national sales teams, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. The HOD will lead cross-functional collaboration to maximize market share and sustainable business growth.ScopeThe Head of Department (HOD) General Business is responsible for leading and managing the overall General Business vertical to achieve revenue growth, market expansion, profitability, and customer satisfaction objectives. The role encompasses strategic planning, sales leadership, business development, channel management, key account management, and team development across assigned territories.Key Responsibilities
    • Develop and implement short-term and long-term business strategies for the General Business segment.
    • Establish annual sales targets, growth plans, and market penetration strategies.
    • Identify emerging market opportunities and competitive trends.
    • Drive sustainable revenue growth and profitability across assigned territories.
    • Lead and manage National Sales Managers (NSMs), Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), and field sales teams.
    • Monitor sales performance and ensure achievement of business objectives.
    • Review sales forecasts, pipeline management, and business plans regularly.
    • Drive key account acquisition and customer retention initiatives.
    Qualifications & Experience
    • Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or related field.
    • MBA in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management preferred.
    • 15-20 years of experience in Sales, Business Development, or Commercial Operations.
    • Minimum 58 years of leadership experience managing large sales teams.
    • Experience in strategic planning, P&&L management, and business expansion.
    • Strong exposure to General Business sales and channel management.
